Perfect heater for me

Review Date: April 6, 2009
Reviewer: Rodney Ajamie,
I am very pleased with this heater. I use it to heat ME, while using my computer in the basement. It does a wonderful job. It also oscillates if needed, it can be used as a fan without heat in the summertime, it has a very convenient remote control, it looks good, it's reasonable. I'm very happy with it. I have no idea how it would work in a larger room, but if you want a nice heater for yourself, you can't go wrong with this one, in my opinion.
Best tower heater made

We have a very cold family room in our basement and this is the only tower heater that ever did the job. The room goes from 58 degrees to 70 degrees in about an hour. It's quiet, looks good, and puts out the heat. We love DeLonhi products and this one is worth every penny spent.

This heater runs quietly and heats very well. Very good temperature controls and operation adjustments. I will probably buy at least two more to help lower my heating costs at my primary home.

I wanted to use this heater for several weeks before writing a review. We use it in our large living room which is about 600 sq. ft. with 10' a cathedral ceiling. It is early Jan. and we live in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mtns with lows about 35-40.

The heater does a very nice job and keeps the room at about 64 degrees while the other rooms in the house are unheated at are around 55 degrees. In a small dining area, where we eat our meals, it gets warm very fast. Also it heats our bathroom quickly.

The heater takes a little getting used to and the controls are easy to operate after a little while. A switch for on and off, one for lowering and raising the temp., one for mode (auto, low, high), and the other for rotation on and off.

The remote is handy to use and the only change I would suggest would be a place to put the remote on the heater.

I am well satisified with performance and it has been the best electric heater I have owned.

The first one came from HAMMACHER SCHLEMMER and we paid alot more for it. We liked it so well that we bought this one. Great. HAMMACHER SCHLEMMER lists it is "The Best" and I have to agree.
Does what it says. Works well.

Reviewer: The Engineer,
I bought this for back up heat in the house/shop, but am using it daily in the greenhouse. The freeze setting is ideal, as the heater comes on when the temperature drops below 45F. I no longer need a separate temperature control (the existing one is now used exclusively for the vent fan). Only one glitch with these modern appliances with digital controls....when the electric goes out, even for a second, the controller shuts off.

The best space heater I have ever had. Didn't need the remote control but my daughter says she uses it all the time at college. I ended up buying three of them.
Love this heater!

I live in NY in a cold old building. This thing heats my bedroom, then I move it to my living room and it does a great job! Of course it takes all the moisture out of the air, but being nice and warm in our cold winters, it is totally worth it! I wish I would have bought it sooner. It is worth every penny! Oh yeah it is a little loud, but I can deal with it just to keep warm.
Does the job

This heater keeps the bedroom warm enough that I don't have to turn up the main heat. The only complaint that I have is when changing to different settings on the heater, the beeps are extremely loud. Other than that, this heater is doing a great job and isn't too loud even when on full power.
The Good and the Ugly

I gave the heater 5-stars but took one away for the HORRIBLE instruction manual. The heater is truly working up to its hype and I am glad I chose it. But COME ON!?!?! a third grader could have written a more understandable user's manual. So, once you've figured it out, you've got a good product but put your thinking caps on.
excellent heater, some quirks

This is an excellent heater. As others have noted, it does have some quirks. I'll describe those first. It does require some assembly and the manual is not great at describing this. The remote controls most, but not all, functions. Importantly, it does not control the timer. On the unit itself, the function buttons occur in a black plastic circle around the temperature display, and those buttons are labeled only with black icons. Black icons on black plastic buttons is pretty much invisible. I dealt with all those quirks on the first day. We use it to heat a large bathroom with a cathedral ceiling. We set the timer every nite to come on before we wake up. We've used it a month now. It works reliably, does a good job, and is relatively quiet. As a heater, it's an excellent product.
Solid space heater

Got this for our bedroom with drafty windows.
Relatively quiet and works well.
Small footprint.
Heats up the room fairly quickly.
Looks nice and stylish in a room.
I like the "tip safety" switch - which turns the heater off if tipped over.

So far the product has been performing the way it is suppose to. Little complicated to figure out due to changing the mode turns heat off. Used in my mothers room and did got turned off and was difficult to turn on.
nice unit for the money

So far, I am happy with this heater. Set up was very easy, and I like the remote control. I only gave it 4 stars because it's not as powerful as I had hoped. It takes quite awhile to heat our family room.

Have now used this product several times and I am fully satisfied with my purchase. It oscillates quietly and smoothly. Would like to have more heat, but this meets my expectations. No problems with the assembly or operation.
