Pros:
Small footprint
Heating element well hidden inside the machine
Redundant safety features
Relatively quiet
Competitively priced
Cons:
Thermostat is not as accurate as I like
Not good for "spot" heating, like warming up just the rocking chair area when watching TV.
This heater suits best for heating up small, enclosed spaces (about 14x14sq.ft.). I use it in my bedroom and the result is great.
The air outlet velocity is low and non vectorized by design. It relies on low velocity, de-facto free, convection as a prime source of heat transfer. This mode of heating carries an advantage for not drying skin (Example, a typical hot-air blowing heater acts like a hair dryer!), and heat very evenly within a small area. Thus make this a bad choice for "spot" heating.
Advice the last person who gave this machine a bad rating. You are like complaining about a Toyota Corolla not able to reach 200mph. Please spend some money to insulate the place and buy a bigger heater, or two for your application.
The unit was solidly built, has overheat and tip-over sensor, and the heating element was located in a remote location and it's impossible to touch. Therefore, it scores really high on safety. However, please use common sense when using this unit (keep the unit away from small children, moisture, water, drapery...)
The unit uses a "Mechanical" thermostat and it does not control the room's temperature very well. It would be better for Honeywell to change it to a digital thermostat.
Conclusion: Use it for what it's best for (small, enclosed space or 14x14 sq.ft.), and you will not be dissappointed. |
Quick, Hot, and Safe

| I plugged this in yesterday for the first time. It seems very safe. The ON nob has a childproof turn system. At the hottest temperatures I can still pick the heater up by the metal grate. Most impressive is how fast it heats up. As soon as it turned on I felt a lot of heat, as if it arrives from the factory with hot air waiting to blow out upon first use. It has a little bit of the "heater odor", like when you turn the heat in the car way up. It heat my room up really fast, but it's a small-medium sized room. I looked around a lot for heaters and read a lot of reviews. This one worked out perfectly for me; I am very happy with my choice. |

I have a 2 bedroom apartment outside of Boston. When the temperature outside drops below 20 degrees or so, the interior temp. struggles to remain above 60 degrees or so. I have deployed three of these great heaters in my apartment and the temp. now can get well above 65 when it is really cold outside.
A+ machine, sleek design, definetly not ugly and will get the job done.

Great For A Small Room

| If you have a small room, it will heat it efficiently. Just make sure to close the door. It won't work for a larger room, but the price is so cheap, you can get a few for each room. It does the job for the price. It would heat up a child's room perfectly on those cold winter nights. It is also safe and if tipped over, it will turn off automatically. Not bad for the price. You may even find it cheaper than the price here at Amazon. I purchased it at Linens & Things for $24.99 (sale price) The regular price was $29.99. |

| When my husband and I moved into our new home in May06, we found in the basement back room two of these heaters. We contacted the pervious owners and told them they had left the heaters, they had left them for us and told us these are good heaters and where we should place them in the house to help keep the bill down. When the weather begin to cool down we used these heaters, the house was warm. So we order three more and they help us to keep our heating bill down. They work very well and it does not take long for the area to heat up. During the day when we are home we turn on all the ones in the house and it is amazing how well they heat the house up, the cord does not get hot and they have a shut off componet, it is just a great product. I would reccommend this product to anyone who is shopping for heaters. I give it 5 stars! and label it Excellent! |

| I bought this heater three weeks ago for my small room ( i was literally dying of cold)and i haven't regretted it one bit. It warms up very fast and the 360 degree function makes it heat up my entire room pretty quickly. The heater however emanates a 'heating smell' when its turned on, which you have to get used to.I strongly recommend this heater for anyone with a small room because of its safety features and performance. |

| I bought 2 for under the desks in the front office, seems to be quite drafty there, the little heaters are perfect for that area. |
Nice, safe heater for a small-to-medium room.

I have had the heater for a couple of weeks. I purchased it to warm a large bathroom where my nonagenarian parent gets quite chilled when bathing. It does an excellent job of warming the room and keeping it ten degrees warmer than the rest of the house, and it saves me turning up the heat in the whole house just to warm that bathroom. It has several safety features: it turns off if tipped over, it has child-resistant ON knob which is nevertheless easy for old folks to turn! It is compact and sleek and light-weight to move; however, it does not have a handle.
I bought a second one for my son's downstairs room which gets colder than the rest of the house in winter, and he is pleased with it. I found the second one in a local store for ten dollars less than the on-line price... |
Love this heater...

| It's freezing in my office at work, and this little heater is great!! Exactly what I was looking for. I have it under my desk so it warms up the area right around me. Thermostat is nice too, so that it shuts itself off every now and then and you don't have to worry about it. For $19.99... couldn't ask for more. |

I purchased this HZ-2200 on Amazon consumer rating. Must I say the consumers were right on! This little heater is much better than what I anticipated. Within 60 minutes on high, it will warm a moderate size room. Afterwards, turn the thermostat to where it will regulate to room temperature.
I do recommend this product. |
The Perfect Small Space Heater

This heater thoroughly warms my small studio (about 600 square ft.). Of the three setting modes on the left knob, fan only, low and, high, I usually need only the low setting and I set the right thermostat knob in the middle of the low-to-high span. Sometimes, early in the morning, if it's particularly cold, I'll set the knobs to high-high to warm things up rapidly; however, I have to remember to lower settings rather quickly, or it will become too hot and I'll need to turn on the 'fan only' to cool down the space a bit...
I like the heater's round design and its lever on top that opens or partially closes the louver inside for uni-directional, or surround-heat flow. The only thing the heater lacks is a handle: it can become too hot to pick up comfortably and has to be lifted with two hands by its bottom -- which is difficult. Cumbersome. For that reason, I keep mine on a low table on casters. I just roll with it...!

| I've been using this for about the past month and I really like it. I even like the fact that the fan does make some noise (no moreso than my previous unit), since it means I'm less likely to forget it's on and leave the house! I didn't realize it had the feature of maintaining a constant temperature in the room, but that's a nice addition. I use it right nearby me, so I don't know how well it would do heating an entire room, but it does a great job keeping me warm. I'm going to order another for a different room. |
